I think there have been challenging times but for me, there has always been a logical next step. After A-levels, I knew I wanted to go to University and I worked hard to get the grades I needed for my first choice. After that, I wasnt sure what I wanted to specialise in so I went and did a Masters of Research in Biomedical Research to try and figure out an area I wanted to specialise in. After that I decided that I really enjoyed scientific research so I was lucky to be accepted onto this PhD research degree and that is what I am doing now 🙂
