      Light is made up of lots of colours, the whole spectrum! We see the sky as blue because blue light gets scattered in all directions by the millions of tiny molecules in the atmosphere. Technically, all colours get scattered, but blue gets scattered more than any other colour because it travels as shorter waves than the others.
