My name is Hungarian (my father is Hungarian and emigrated to Canada in the 1950s). Apparently it comes from one of the wives of Attila the Hun (but I think spelled Ildico) and it is rumored she killed him! Not sure how true any of that is, but a great story!

my name is “star” in Persian. It apparently derives from the goddess Ishtar: god of love and war! (I am quite peaceful though :P)

Well its not as cool as yours!
Paul means small, which I’m not. But I’m named for St Paul. I used to dislike my name but I think I’ve grown into it.
