      Rosalind Franklin. Some people don’t know, but it was her who determined the structure of the DNA molecule (yes, her, not Watson and Crick – they just took all the merit!). I find really inspiring how some women were able to break with conventions and do science in a past which was clearly dominated by men.

      Marie Curie was pretty awesome! She was a physicist that created the theory of radioactivity, and it was under her guidance that the first experiments to treat cancer using radioisotopes were carried out. Check out more about her here: http://www.crystalinks.com/curie.html
